naughty nelly bootjack

oh baby.. yes, Naughty Nelly Bootjack..O.k here's the story.. she actually existed..well, she was an antique (yes ) bootjack from America circa 1800's. If you put your foot beween her thighs, it helped you get your boots off! no r4eally.. how could I make this stuff up? Anyway the thought stuck and well.. it kinda blossumed into some bawdy tale that was never finished.. the sketch is kinda fun tho!

mystery sale

there's some things for me that are better left unsolved, the mystery sale is one of them.... yoyu might have seen it/ them..ads selling bar fridges or louges ..nothing special eh? but it's the imaginative way that it's advertised..on the back of an old suitcase..a led lepplin cassette( bummer it was empty! ) and the like... now here's the rub I don't know if it's a real sale or if it's some kind of art project..the more rationalist of you out there might say " why not just call the number and find out?" where's the mystery in that? ( could be like the THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS music project.. they left an ad in the village voice and used the confused callers as part of the song.. if you get a chance listen to it ..) I really don't know what to think..but every time I see a particularlly good one ( see example ) I tip my hat smile and say " jolly good show ! "
